The Stand:    The Stand Comedy Club celebrated its 12^th anniversary in September 2007. From tiny beginnings the club has grown steadily. What started as a voluntary organisation run by enthusiasts has now become a successful business.

In Edinburgh the club is now housed in the city centre – the venue was converted out of an insurance company’s old archive store - and is open seven nights week, every week of the year. Personally I have always been a bigger fan of the other festival venues – and the seating is not the most comfortable – but this popular, venerable spot is always worth checking out.
